U.S. Park Police Seeking Information Concerning a Hit and Run Accident


A hit and run motor vehicle accident occurred this morning at 5:45 a.m. inbound on Memorial Bridge.  The victim was operating a motorcycle and was struck by a brown mini van.  The operator of the motorcycle sustained a serious leg injury as well as other non life threatening injuries.  The brown mini van should have damage along the drivers side front portion of the vehicle.  Unfortunately there is no additional information concerning the mini van.

The U.S. Park Police is seeking the publics help with any information that might identify the mini van and the subject operating it.

U.S. Park Police Wayside Exhibit Dedication




On December 14, 2012, in front of the U.S. Park Police Headquarters building, Teresa Chambers, Chief of the U.S. Park Police, and Steve Whitesell, National Park Service, Regional Director of the National Capital Region, unveiled a wayside honoring fallen U.S. Park Police officers.
