Sketches released in Georgetown sex assault


The United States Park Police, Criminal Investigations Branch, is currently investigating a Sexual Assault that occurred in Glover Archbold Park, in the area of the 3700 block of Canal Road NW, Washington, DC on April 1, 2014 at approximately 8:50 pm.

The victim in this case was walking in the 3100 block of “K” Street NW, Washington, DC, near the Georgetown Waterfront, when she was accosted by the suspect from behind and forcefully taken through the area of the Capital Crescent Trail, where she was later Sexually Assaulted by the suspect in Glover Archbold Park. The suspect later fled toward Canal Road NW, Washington, DC.

The suspect’s description is as follows:

Black Male, Light Brown Complexion
Height: 6’0 (Approximately)
Weight: 230-240 pounds
Tattoo on back of left Hand: “N” with stars down the center
Short Haircut
Wearing a white shirt with a blue/black striped tie
Wearing a black jacket
Wearing black pants
Wearing black boots
No weapons used
