Fort Slocum Sexual Assault


SEXUAL ASSAULT SUSPECT

The United States Park Police Criminal Investigations Branch is investigating a sexual assault which took place in the wooded area on the west side of the 5700 block of New Hampshire Ave. just north of South Dakota Ave. NE Washington, DC. The assault took place on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at approximately 11:30 a.m. The above is a composite sketch of the assailant. He is further described as a Hispanic male 5’10”, mid to late twenties, muscular build. Fatal Crash on Rock Creek Parkway

On February 21, 2009, at approximately 1:27 a.m., the United States Park Police responded to the report of a vehicular crash on Rock Creek Parkway at F Street NW. The initial investigation revealed that the operator of a Chevy Lumina bearing DC registration traveling south bound on Rock Creek Parkway lost control and struck a signal light pole at F Street. The only occupant of the vehicle was the driver, who was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.

The victim is identified as 28 year old Jarvis Lamar Taylor of Alexandria, Virginia.

Rock Creek Parkway in the area of F Street was closed until approximately 4:45 a.m. for the crash investigation and reconstruction. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.

Fatal Crash on the Baltimore Washington Parkway

On February 17, 2009, at approximately 1:50 a.m., the United States Park Police were notified of a motor vehicle crash on the ramp to
Route 50 from the Baltimore Washington Parkway. The initial investigation revealed that a Chrysler Sebring with Maryland registration was travelling westbound on route 50 west of the Baltimore Washington Parkway. This vehicle struck a light pole, travelled a short distance, and went over a low stone wall.

The lone male operator was found to be deceased. The victim has been identified as 21 year old John Larry Lloyd of Suitland, Maryland.

The ramp from southbound Baltimore Washington Parkway to westbound Route 50 was closed until approximately 6:50 a.m. for the investigation.

Fatal Collision Involving a Pedestrian

On February 10, 2009, at approximately 7:39 p.m., the United States Park Police were notified of a pedestrian struck on the ramp from the southbound lanes of the Baltimore Washington Parkway to Route 50. The initial investigation revealed that a Nissan pickup truck bearing DC registration was stopped in the travel portion of the roadway. The operator of a Nissan Sentra bearing Maryland registration stopped behind the pickup to avoid striking the stopped vehicle. The operator of a tour bus, traveling in the same direction attempted to swerve to avoid a collision and struck the Nissan Sentra, a pedestrian, and a third vehicle, described as a VW sedan bearing New Mexico registration.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment where he was later pronounced. The deceased is identified as 41 year old Jose Fernando Gamez out of NE Washington DC.

The US Park Police Crash Reconstruction Team and Criminal Investigations Branch are currently investigating the collision. The ramp from the southbound Baltimore Washington Parkway to Route 50 was closed for the investigation. Car Buster Information Bulletin




The United States Park Police are seeking information on the identity of the subject pictured above.

The subject is suspected of using a stolen credit card to make a purchase at Kettering Liquors, Upper Marlboro, MD on 1/7/09, as well as several other stores throughout the DC region. The credit card was stolen from a vehicle parked in the Glen Echo Park (Montgomery County, MD) parking lot on 1/7/09.
