THE UNITED STATES PARK POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A SEXUAL ASSAULT
THAT OCCURRED IN ROCK CREEK PARK, NORTHWEST, WASHINGTON DC.
ON THURSDAY THE 27TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 2008, AT APPROXIMATELY 1230 PM, AN ADULT WHITE FEMALE WAS JOGGING SOUTH ON THE PAVED BIKE AND FOOT TRAIL, WEST OF BEACH DRIVE BETWEEN KLINGLE ROAD BRIDGE AND THE PORTER STREET BRIDGE WHEN AN UNKNOWN MALE APPROACHED HER FROM BEHIND AND SEXUALLY ASSAULTED HER. THE FEMALE WAS ABLE TO FLEE FROM THE SUBJECT. THE SUBJECT WAS LAST SEEN RUNNING NORTH FROM THE AREA UP INTO A WOODED EMBANKMENT.
THE SUSPECT IS DESCRIBED AS:
A LIGHT COMPLECTED OLIVE SKIN MALE, POSSIBLY HISPANIC
MID TO LATE TWENTIES
APPROXIMATELY 5’7 FEET TALL, MEDIUM BUILD
SHORT WAVY CURLY BLACK HAIR
WEARING A GREY WOOL CAP
DARK BLUE PEA STYLE TYPE COAT
FADED BLUE JEANS
